Available positions for Trainees at the Institure for Energy and Transport

In-service training is a period spent at the Joint Research Centre, Institute for Energy and Transport, in accordance with the rules set out in the Rules governing the Traineeship Scheme of 17 September 2013. In-service training enables trainees to acquire personal experience and to put into practice the knowledge they have acquired during their studies, professional carriers or to prepare thesis for university degree or Master or PhD.

How to apply

If you are interested in one of the projects published (see list below), please submit the application form of the chosen project within the cut-off date by using JRC’s online web application system – ESRA.

Only applications received within the deadline and via ESRA system will be taken into consideration.

If an application is unsuccessful at any stage of the application process, depending on the reason for rejection, a candidate may re-apply for a subsequent training period. It is, however, necessary to submit a fresh application, together with all supporting documents.

Important: Please note that only the candidates selected for one of the positions published will receive a notification from the Resource Management Petten Unit within 2 months from the closure of the call.

Furthermore, your application does not constitute any commitment on behalf of the Commission at this stage of the procedure.
