Available positions for Contract Agents at the IET

Contract agents perform a variety of tasks ranging from scientific/technical tasks to administrative and manual tasks, under the supervision of officials or temporary staff. There are four function groups (FG), each with different eligibility criteria, salaries and tasks. The relevant information concerning each function group can be found below:

1. Function Group I
   Manual and administrative support-service tasks
2. Function Group II
   Clerical or secretarial tasks, office management and other equivalent tasks
3. Function Group III
   Executive tasks, drafting, accountancy and other equivalent technical tasks
4. Function Group IV
   Administrative, advisory, linguistic and equivalent technical tasks

Additional information

Contract agents are engaged by the Commission to perform full-time or part-time duties, for an initial period of one year. The contract may be renewed, and total length of this contract may not exceed 3 years (Function Group II, III, IV)
